 Star Wars 3 was the sixth and final film to be released in the Star Wars saga. It broke several box office records in its opening week, and went on to earn over US$ 850 million worldwide, making it the highest grossing film of 2005 in the U.S.
Episode III tells the story of Anakin Skywalker's fall to the dark side, the birth of the Empire and the slaughter of the Jedi. Three years after the onset of the Clone Wars, the noble Jedi Knights have been leading a extremely massive clone army into a galaxy-wide battle against the Separatists. When the sinister Sith, led by Darth Sidious, unveil a thousand-year-old plot to rule the galaxy, the fate of Anakin Skywalker, the Jedi order, and the entire galaxy is at stake. As the final film to be released in the series, it bridges the gap between the original trilogy and prequel trilogy of the Star Wars epic. The sixth and final installment of George Lucas' epic space opera will please die-hard fanatics and non-believers alike -- largely due to technically awesome digital effects. The scale of the film is epic and the battles are quite impressive. Lucas cleverly illustrates a war far out of control and almost impossible to win. This is the darkest episode of a 6 part series which began in 1977 though it will definitely please die hard fans of star wars. |
